Toy Stories Retold In 3D

Do you love Toy Story as much as we do? It’s been over a decade since its 1995 debut on the big screen, starring Tom Hanks as the courageous but insecure Sherriff Woody, and Tim Allen as the adventurous and flashy Buzz Lightyear. And remember Sid? Yeah… we remember Sid too *shudder*. Well the boys are back in town! Disney announced in a presentation held in Las Vegas that both Toy Story and Toy Story 2 would make a brief but surly triumphant return to the big screen in a rare double-feature. For the admission price of one ticket, you can watch both films back to back on the big screen, and, get this – IN 3D! When Buzz Lightyear falls with style he’ll be coming right at you. When Sid’s abominations come out from the shadows, they’re going to be staring you down nose-to-nose. And one can only hold onto the edge of their seats when stuck in the claw machine with the squeak-toy aliens.

Here’s the real reason you should be reading this with great care: It’s opening up October 2, 2009 but it’s going to be showing for only two weeks. When this sucker hits the cinema, you better be there because this is a once in a lifetime opportunity! Don’t you want an experience so real, you’ll think you’ll have a snake in your boot?

Whether Disney will continue this trend of bringing back the classics in 3D will depend on the success of this Toy Story venture, but to not base their entire project on that two week span alone, they have a similar backup test. February 12, 2010 you’ll be dancing with Lumière the candelabra, Mrs. Potts the teapot, Cogsworth the clock, Belle and The Beast himself. Beauty And The Beast is coming to 3D, perhaps for another mere two week spell. I know I’ll be there!
