Coming out March 19, 2010 is a film based on the female rock Supergroup from the 70's, The Runaways. The film is headlined by three major actresses in today's world: Kristen Stewart (of Twilight fame) as Joan Jett, Dakota Fanning (War Of The Worlds + Twilight: New Moon) as Cherie Currie and Scout Taylor-Compton (Rob Zombie's Halloween series) as Lita Ford. This biopic has balls-to-the-walls, attitude and adrenaline, aggressive, "girls can make it in a man's world, until egos clash" all over it. And I'm totally cool with that. Live the Rock and Roll Lifestyle, and play it up, I'll watch. But I have to wonder about someone like Kristen Stewart portraying one of the biggest female rock icons in the past century. I'll give her a chance, but mainly because it's being reported all over how enthusiastic and focused she's been on getting into her role. Thankfully she's had Joan Jett on the set as a producer giving her plenty of guidance. So I advise you all to keep a look out for this film, cuz it has some real potential to it.
