Thoughts on Rock Band 3's Keyboard

Rock Band 3 is a lot like Rock Band 2 when it comes to gameplay. That's unless you play the new instrument, the keyboard. Wondering if you should put down the $70 to get the keyboard? You've come to the right place.

There are two modes to keyboard - normal, and pro. Normal is pretty much the same thing as playing the guitar without needing to strum. You use the first five keys on the keyboard to hit the notes. Your hand is in a different position, and it does take a couple of songs to get used to, but after that, it's not so tough.

Pro mode is where all the keyboard keys are in use. This is where Pro mode beats the crap out of normal mode. It's more difficult but that's what is needed in Rock Band today. If you owned Rock Band ever since the first one, it's safe to assume you're probably playing on expert level on these instruments. The keyboard is a new and fresh item to keep you playing the music for another year.

Final Say: $70 is a little steep, but if you find this instrument on sale then it's a must have. It gives you more variety in Rock Band, which after 4 years of Rock band games is great.
