Book Review: I Am Ozzy

Ozzy Osbourne is undoubtedly one of the most well-known icon in the rock industry. I've always been a fan of Ozzy, and not the kind of fan that thinks "Crazy Train" is his greatest hit. The guy's overall career has been great, and I think bands should stop covering Crazy Train and look at his other stuff.

I Am Ozzy came out this year, and I've always been interested in (auto)biographies. After reading Dave Mustaine's book I went straight to Ozzy's. This book was really short. I listened to the audio book, and it was only 3 hours long. Ozzy does a really great job of explaining his whole life in a short time, while giving us interesting tidbits along the way.

What I found most fascinating in the book was hearing Ozzy's side of world-famous acts he's done. He doesn't seem like that bad of a person. The whole biting the head off a bat, and peeing on the Alamo... well Ozzy explained each story and how they were just mistakes. Though alcohol was involved in the Alamo story. I'm sure if Ozzy was sober at the time he wouldn't have of done it.

Final Say: I Am Ozzy is a must read for any Ozzy fans. There really isn't any reason not too, and with it only being 3 hours. No excuse!
