Movie Review: Grown Ups

Premise:

Stand Outs:
I've always been a fan of the 90's SNL cast, and Grown Ups nailed it with the cast. It was pretty funny at moments, and I was surprised Rob Schneider had some funny moments too.

I was pretty let down by the theme. We get it, kids these generations stay inside too much. The movie had somewhat of a bias that playing outside is ideal. While I played a lot outside as a kid, I'm not saying that every waking moment should be outside. By the end of the movie I got tired of them mentioning how great their childhood was because of the outdoors.

Final Say:
I went into this one thinking it wasn't going to be that great because of other reviews. I was surprised when I found myself laughing at parts, and it was overall enjoyable. Though I disagreed with the theme a lot. While I had some great times outside, some of my best childhood memories is playing some NES, SNES, and Sega. This movie made it look like video games are ruining this generation. I give Grown Ups a 3.5 *'s out of 5 *'s or 7 *'s out of 10 *'s.

When You Should See It:
Probably before the year 2030, when playing outside is almost unheard of anymore... joking... well maybe. Check it out whenever you get a chance, no rush.
