Tomb Raider Reboot

See that woman on the cover of Game Informer? That's going to be Lara Croft in the newest Tomb Raider game. That's right, a reboot to Tomb Raider. My thoughts: What's the point? This woman is a younger Lara Croft as the article says. Why not have this woman be Lara's sister or something? I think that would be a cooler idea.

I know that the latest Tomb Raider games since the PS1 days haven't been that great (besides the one on the PSN, and XBLA). The character's appearance isn't nearly as important as how the game plays out. I'm betting if the game does poorly in reviews, we will hear the makers of the game blame the audience, saying, "You just didn't like her because she has a different look!"

If the game is good though, then this new Lara Croft will live on... til the day they start producing bad games, and another reboot of her will come out. Think of the woman from Mirror's Edge... That's actually not a bad idea.
