New Jason Statham International Film, "Safe"

According to Variety, Lionsgate is teaming with IM Global for Jason Statham's newest film, "Safe" to debut October 28th. The film isn't too different from Statham's other big-name film, The Transpoter. Statham will play a former elite agent who fights to rescue a 12-year-old girl.

While Jason Statham is good in everything he's ever been in, I don't have big hopes for this film. It hasn't gotten much hype about it and is supposed to hit theaters (probably more likely DVD/Blu-Ray) in five months? Based off of little, I'm much more excited about Statham's other upcoming film projects.

and an all-star casted film, The Killer Elite, starring Statham, Clive Owen, Robert Dinero, Yvonne Strahovski (TV series, Chuck), Dominic Purcell (TV series, Prison Break). This film will be based off of the nonfiction book The Feather Men, telling the story of an underground group of vigilante killers who protection and avenge former members of the SAS from a former sheik from Oman. Except in the movie version, it will actually be about British Special Forces targeted by assassins, and focused on Statham as Navy Seal who is forced out of retirement in order to save his closest friend.
