The Making of AVGN

Recently The Angry Video Game Nerd made a behind-the-scenes look at how he makes an episode. I knew he was very good at making videos, but I'm very surprised at the amount of work that goes into the show.

During the behind-the-scenes look he mentions that a short video will take him 16 hours to make, while a long video can go over the 100-hour mark. From my experience from making game reviews I always thought I was putting a lot of time making these videos. I was wrong dead wrong. On average it will take me 4-6 hours to write/record a script and edit the video.

Even keeping every second of him playing a game on a DVD was impressive. I learned that Organized Remains and AVGN have very different ways of recording - while he records straight to a DVD, I record straight to a computer. I sadly don't have enough room on my computer to keep hours of HD-video, but I hope in the future to have a way to record all the gameplay.

If you're interested in The Angry Video Game Nerd, or even just into film-making, this is a video you need to see!
