Kickstarter: Worm Run

I was a Kickstarter junkie for a while but I've calmed down on donating to every cause I find. Now I only give to a Kickstarter if the product looks like a good investment, and the price to get this investment is cheap. That's when I came across an iOS game called Worm Run that needs some help.

I think this game looks amazing, and reminds me a bit of League of Evil (a must-buy!), but with a giant worm chasing you. What interests me the most is how the game controls without a directional pad. You swipe your finger in the direction you want your character to move. Maybe it's been done before but I've never seen a game like this controlled with a swipe of your finger. I'm excited mostly because directional pads are not the best when it comes to using an iPad. Also, the fact that it has generated levels means it will be a new experience every time is an added bonus.

As of writing this they have around $1,600, which is about the halfway mark, so it's very promising that this game will get to its goal since it's $3,200. If you donate $3 then you get a copy of the game, which is pretty cheap and understandable. There are more donation-options if you want some signed art, or even a worm plushy!

No mentions of stretch goals except, "the more we get, the better off we will be when we go live." I'm completely fine with this, but that's not going to stop me from naming some of stretch goals of my own! Like character customization! I want a cool green monster mask! Uh, I guess that's all I can come up with. The game looks pretty solid, and I hope Worm Run makes its goal!
