#5: Sleeping Dogs
I'm not sure why, but this game came out of nowhere for me. I didn't know much going into it and was very surprised with the results. Check out my 90 second review above for more details. Plus, for some reason I really liked driving on the left side of the road.
#4: The Walking Dead
I'm a big fan of the TV series The Walking Dead, and point-and-click adventure games. A point-and-click adventure game with timed decisions and a great story, I loved The Walking Dead game. I also really liked how the game was split into five different chapters that came out at different times. Some might not feel the same, but I liked how I couldn't rush through the entire game.
#3: 1000 Amps
I reviewed 1000 Amps when I wrote for Ultra Mega Cyborg back in February. At the time, I gave 1000 Amps a 4.5 out of 5, but the game was updated to fix the map make it movable to look at the whole thing. I also kept talking about how much I loved this game throughout the year. I feel like if Organized Remains had a number scoring system for games, I would give it a 5 out of 5 now.
Last year my #2 game was Dead Island because I was surprised how much I enjoyed it, and the same can be said about Dishonored. Until playing this game I thought I wasn't too big on stealth games, and while you don't have to play strictly stealthy, the game is a lot of fun when you do. Check out my review above for more information.
#1 Borderlands 2
Borderlands 2 is everything I wanted from a sequel. The craziness of the first one gets doubled for the second game. The amount of good that can be said about this game is too much to fit in this paragraph! Also it gets my pick of best trailer of the year.
