Movie Review: Movie 43

A collection of offensive and wild short skits featuring an all-star cast.

I went into seeing this film with low expectations and still have no idea how I really feel about it. It was funny. At parts. But it relied strictly on gross-out shock-humor. There's nothing intelligent, coherent, witty or endearing about Movie 43. I felt dirty having watched it, and I grew up with the internet, so I've seen some things.

Again, keep in mind... I laughed watching this movie. There were funny jokes. And it was only an hour and 37 minutes, which is good run-time for a comedy. And Emma Stone was as sexy as ever. I also was just as entertained by Chloƫ Grace Moretz as I expected to be. To it's credit, the movie knows its bad and gives a meta explanation as to why such a terrible film would be sent to theaters.

But this movie was an abomination of intellect. I sat through it, had some laughs, but will never ever watch it again. I will give this movie to friends as a gag gift when it comes out on DVD/Blu-Ray however so they're forced to experience it as well.

Overall rating... better than the hot garbage that was Epic Movie/Date Movie/Superhero Movie/etc.
