I was recently given a preview build of the upcoming game The Last Tinker: City of Colors. It's planned to be release in the second quarter of 2014 on Steam for Windows, Mac, and Linux. It's about a place called Colortown that has lost it's powers of color. It's up to Koru to bring back the colors, and bring back peace between the different colors.
When I started playing I was instantly reminded of my childhood playing Spyro The Dragon. Everything was colorful, and it had a fun atmosphere. I was excited to see where The Last Tinker was going to bring me. It's a 3D platformer, and it almost seems like these types of games are not being made as much anymore. Super Mario 64, Crash Bandicoot, Ratchet and Clank, and many more platformer games are among my favorites. So I'm looking forward to seeing the full game of The Last Tinker.
The preview build took me around 30 minutes to get through. When it finished I wanted more! Everything worked well from the controls to the characters. I had a lot of fun finding out about these characters, and running around Colortown. Check out The Last Tinker's website for more information.
Check back at Organized Remains later on for the full review!
