Indie Mon: Top Ten Indie Soundtracks 5 - 1
Script: Hey this is the part two video. If you haven't watched the first part click the annotation!
Hey Nick here with this weekly installment of Indie Mon. I started my top ten list of my favorite indie game soundtracks, and now it's time to finish it!
Number five is VVVVVV. One of the first games I ever purchased from an indie game bundle! I love these types of games where it's one giant level. Mostly known as a metroidvania type game. The soundtrack has a cool retro beat to it, and it was fun cruising around the map figuring out where to go next while listening to it.
Noitu Love 2 is number four on the list. I remember reviewing this game when it came out, and didn't really know too much about it. The game blew me away with how fun it was. What even blew me away more was how good the soundtrack is. It's another game where I think the game is amazing, but the soundtrack might be a bit better.
Here's number three, and it's Dustforce. Nothing makes you want to clean up a mess like a good soundtrack. What's odd about this game, and its soundtrack is I would expect a more faster paced soundtrack since the game is supposed to be played fast. This soundtrack is more mellow, and I love it. It ends up working with the game really well, and that's why it's number three.
Some might call number two cheating, but it's Hotline Miami. I believe the music wasn't exactly made for the game, but I never clarified on if it had to be an original soundtrack. Anyway Hotline Miami's soundtrack is brilliant. Some of the music is on my main playlist of music I default on when I don't know what to listen to. It's perfect for the game, and it's very nice to listen to outside of the game.
Number one here it comes! It's Super Meat Boy! Might not be a big surprised if you saw my top five video game soundtracks video as it was the only indie game on their. The soundtrack is just way too good. It's perfect for getting you pumped, and retrying levels over and over. As was a common theme with Super Meat Boy. The game is great, and the soundtrack helped me reach all the way to the end to celebrate one of my favorite gaming achievements.
There you have it. That's my top ten indie game soundtracks. If you liked this video please like, and subscribe if you haven't already. Also check my top five video game soundtracks video as well if you want to know my favorites outside of the indie world!
